Rue Seeds

Rue (ruta graveolens) is a hardy evergreen shrub native to Southern Europe that is toxic if ingested in anything but small amounts and can cause dermatitis and skin blistering when touched. Rue is famous for its use in folk magic as a protective herb and for its use in gardens as an insect and cat repellant herb.

Growing Instructions: Sow directly in soil in spring, late summer, or fall. Can be started indoors a few weeks before the last frost. Rue can tolerate poor soil conditions and drought. Plant in full sun or partial shade. The cooler your climate, the more sun it will need. Plants can be transplanted. Not suitable for indoor container gardening.
